5. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
5.1 What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. We use cookies and similar technologies including web beacons, pixel tags, and local storage to operate the Site, remember your preferences, and analyze traffic.
5.2 Types of Cookies We Use
- Essential Cookies: Required for the Site to function. These include session cookies that keep you logged in and cookies that remember your preferences. These cannot be disabled without affecting core functionality.
- Analytics Cookies: Used by Google Analytics to collect aggregated information about how visitors use the Site. These cookies help us understand traffic patterns, popular pages, and user behavior. See Section 6.2 for more detail.
- Functional Cookies: Used to remember your settings and preferences within the platform such as filter configurations and display preferences.
5.3 Your Cookie Choices
You may control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse new cookies, delete existing cookies, and set preferences for specific sites. Note that disabling essential cookies may prevent you from logging in or using core features of the platform.
You may also opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
5.4 Do Not Track
Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" signals. We do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. If our practices change, we will update this Policy.
6. THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS
We share information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Site and Service. These providers are contractually obligated to use your information only as directed by us and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
6.1 Stripe (Payment Processing)
All payment transactions are processed by Stripe, Inc. When you subscribe, you submit your payment information directly to Stripe through their secure interface. We receive from Stripe only: a transaction confirmation, the last four digits of your card, card brand, expiration date, and billing address. We do not receive, store, or transmit full card numbers or CVV codes at any time. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant. Their privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC. Google Analytics collects information about your use of the Site through cookies and similar technologies and transmits that data to Google servers. We use this information in aggregated, anonymized form to understand how users interact with the Site, measure traffic sources, and improve the Service. We have enabled IP anonymization in our Google Analytics configuration, meaning your full IP address is not stored by Google. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy. You may opt out of Google Analytics as described in Section 5.3.
6.3 Hosting and Infrastructure
Our platform is hosted on third-party cloud infrastructure providers. These providers maintain industry-standard security certifications and are contractually bound to protect your data.
6.4 Email Delivery
Transactional emails such as account confirmations and payment receipts are delivered through a third-party email service provider. This provider processes your email address solely to deliver messages on our behalf and does not use your information for any other purpose.
6.5 No Sale to Data Brokers
We do not sell, rent, or lease your personal account information to data brokers, advertisers, or any other third party for their independent marketing or commercial use.
7. AGENT DATA IN OUR DATABASE
Our core product consists of insurance agent records compiled from publicly available state licensing databases. This section addresses how we handle requests from individuals whose information appears in our database.
7.1 Nature of the Data
All agent records in our database are sourced from public records maintained by state insurance regulatory authorities. This data is publicly available and accessible to anyone who requests it from the applicable state agency. We compile, normalize, and present this data through our platform.
7.2 Opt-Out and Removal Requests
If you are a licensed insurance agent and wish to request removal of your information from our database, you may submit a removal request by emailing support@usagentdata.com with the subject line "Data Removal Request." Please include your full name, state of licensure, and license number so we can locate your record. We will process verified removal requests within 30 days to the extent technically practicable. Please note that removal from our database does not affect the public record maintained by your state licensing authority.
7.3 Re-Addition After Removal
Because our database is refreshed from public state records periodically, records that have been removed may be re-added in a subsequent update if they remain active in the state licensing database. If you wish to prevent re-addition, please note this in your removal request and we will flag your record accordingly.
8. DATA RETENTION
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide the Service. Specifically:
- Account information: Retained for the duration of your subscription and for up to 3 years following account closure for legal, tax, and dispute resolution purposes
- Payment records: Retained for 7 years as required for tax and accounting compliance
- Usage and export logs: Retained for up to 2 years for fraud prevention, abuse detection, and platform improvement
- Support communications: Retained for up to 3 years
- Legal holds: Information subject to a legal hold or active dispute will be retained until the matter is fully resolved
When retention periods expire, we delete or anonymize your information in a secure manner. Some anonymized or aggregated data may be retained indefinitely for analytical purposes.
9. DATA SECURITY
We implement commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or destruction. These measures include:
- Encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL
- Encrypted storage of passwords using industry-standard hashing algorithms
- Access controls limiting employee access to personal data on a need-to-know basis
- Regular security assessments and monitoring
- Secure payment processing through Stripe's PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure
Despite these measures, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. We are not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from your failure to protect your login information.
